four colors celebration

drawing on an ancient nahuatL (AZTEC) story, the four colors celebration tells of the first island of people who were all the same color, spoke the same language and lived the same kind of life.

in this interactive tale, we will lead the group through the division into four root races, when the island split into black, red, white and yellow. each went off in different directions to learn from the elements.

using traditional story and song, the races come together to sit in a circle and share what they have learned.

the 1 hour performance includes live flute, drum and guitar music and ends with a group planting of "PEACE PRAYER beans "
